PSYCHOLOGICAL TRAUMA
Working holistically and body-centred with traumatic experiences
Psychological trauma affects many of us and reduces our ability to enjoy life. At Cirencester Psychology we believe that underlying trauma plays a major role in many mental health problems such as anxiety, depression, OCD and relationship difficulties. Although we use Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy as our main model we have found that we often need to complement this approach with more body-oriented ways of working. In fact, we have developed and published our own model. We see many clients who have been through a course of CBT but feel they have not been helped completely. Read more.
